He Rune, a small correction... ASWNK is the 9th track of the album. She reserves the 8 spot for special songs. That is WTDDL, she wrote that WTDDL is her best song ever...
Thank you for the story, it comes right at the moment the ceasefire news in Gaza! Fantastic!
I realize that I made the same mistake re: tracks 8 vs. 9 in the comment that I just posted. I do remember her saying that When The Dark Dresses Lightly was extremely significant but in a recent interview she said that she said how much she loves performing ASWNK and perhaps that comment made me switch the order in my mind! Of course, both songs are great.
I absolutely agree with what julia-jk4hw wrote as to the meaning of that particular couplet in the lyrics and it appears that the entire song is written from the point of view of Nature telling mankind to get their sh*t together. Also, as we all (or many of us, at least) know, the number 8 has great significance to Aurora and you can always count on the eight track to be the most important song to her on all of her albums. In What Happened To The Heart, number 16 (2 x 8), Invisible Wounds, also carries the same significance. Anyway, this whole album is magnificent and the variations of writing and musical composition has made it my favorite album so far- of course, not to detract from the brilliance of all the others! Thanks for the newsletter, as always.

Thank you. You are right, of course. 9th will be corrected. As for timing, that was a lucky thing 💚😊
